Inspection and preparation

A dry vacuum clears the surface debris first. Stained areas receive a targeted solution before any wet process starts, so the dwell time works while the rest of the setup is completed.

Foam is applied and worked in with a rotary brush, then hot water is driven through the padding and extracted with the loosened dirt. This is the step that reaches where a surface clean cannot.

Sanitise and dry
Sanitising solution is applied after the water is out. Fans are positioned to move air across the surface, and the mattress is not returned to the bed frame until the surface reads dry.

The heat reached the padding where the mites live. What the extraction removed cannot repopulate the same area it was pulled from.
Stains lifted or visibly reduced
Pre-treatment and scrubbing loosened what had bonded to the fibres. Most organic stains lift; older, bleached or chemically set marks may lighten but not disappear entirely.
Surface dry, no trapped moisture
Fan-drying after extraction removes the water that carried the dirt out. The mattress does not go back onto a bed frame holding moisture that would return as odour.

The active cleaning work typically takes one to two hours depending on mattress size and how heavily soiled it is. Drying time after extraction adds to this, and the mattress should remain with fans running until it is fully dry before going back on a bed frame.
Remove all bedding and pillowcases before the booking. If the mattress sits on a slatted base, make sure there is clear access around it. No other preparation is needed from your side.
The sanitising solution used after extraction is designed for soft furnishings in domestic settings. If a household member has a specific sensitivity or diagnosed allergy to a cleaning agent, mention it when booking so a suitable alternative can be confirmed before work starts.
The mattress needs to be fully dry before use. Fan-drying is included in the service, but the time this takes varies by mattress thickness, fabric type and room ventilation. Leaving the bedroom door open and running the AC helps move moisture out faster.
Age and heavy staining affect the result but do not prevent the clean. Older stains that have fully set or been altered by bleach may not lift entirely. The inspection at the start of the job establishes what is realistic for the specific mattress before any work begins.
A mattress protector fitted after cleaning keeps the padding from being reached directly by future spills or body contact. Vacuuming the surface every few weeks removes the fine dust that accumulates before it has a chance to settle back into the fabric.
